Show-Me Challenge  - 4/18/09
Gary Mann of Top Mount Martial Arts in West Plains Missouri was the
hosting promoter for the first ever MMASC tournament in this part of
Missouri.  The tournament was held in a brand new state of the art FEMA
Shelter at the West Plains Middle School.

The tournament featured almost 200 competitors, including many new & old
faces from places like Paragould Arkansas, Jonesboro Arkansas, Joplin,
Neosho, Springfield, Republic, St. Louis, Franklin Arkansas, Doniphan, St.
Roberts, Waynesville, Lebanon, Branson, Mountain View, and over 70 from
Karate Schools in the West Plains area!!!

At 9 a.m. competitors were still coming through the gate, as the National
Anthem played, and everyone was excited about what was to come!  All
divisions were jam packed, and things went very smooth throughout the day.
It's awesome to see so many Martial Artists working together, having a good
time, and doing their best.  The new faces to the MMASC were treated to a
2:30 p.m. finish time, which most commented was very rare in tournaments
they normally participate in.
4-State Brawl - 5/2/09
The 4-State Brawl was held on May 2 at the Crowder College in Neosho,
Missouri  drawing nearly 150 competitors.  Promoters Jim and Bob Moore
ran this fourth annual M.M.A.S.C. event.

As with all MMASC tournaments, the event started at 9:00 am and ended at
2:00 p.m. in the afternoon.   The competition was awesome and got even
more tense when the Black Belts seen what they were competing for.  Jim
and Bob Moore gave away the most awesome Championship Belts.  All day
long the Black Belts came by the trophy table taking turns trying on the Belt,
each of them confident they would be the recipient of such a great Grand
Champion Award.

Top School was awarded to Gary Mann, Top Mount Martial Arts of West
Plains.  A close second went to Ozzies Crew and third to Karate Zone.  A
total of 17 schools were represented at this tournament.

The 9 - 10 year old and 11 -12 year old divisions are growing with leaps and
bounds.  There were 62 competitors in these divisions alone.  The kids are
talented and represent the next generation very well.

Youth; Joshua Numata, Advanced Youth; Keisha Colvin, Beg Adult; Scott
Moore, Intermediate Adult; Shawna Hudson,  Advanced Adult; Jody Phillips,
