Besides Martial Arts training, what
are your other hobbies or interests?
Skateboarding, BMX biking, and music.

What motivated you to start taking
Martial Arts?
My doctor actually recommended it to
my parents.  She thought it would help
me to focus and help be more disciplined.

How has the Martial Arts changed your life?
I have more self confidence.  I have gotten stronger both physically and
mentally.  I am more prepared for the unexpected.  And have the opportunity
to travel to different places and meet new people.

How long have you been involved
in the Martial Arts?
6 years at 3 different schools.

What is your favorite part of the Martial Arts?
Fighting without a doubt.  Weapons are cool also.  Going to tournaments
every month and the fight nights that are held in different schools.  I recently
started teaching and I really enjoy that.

What people in your life have influenced you the most?
Mark Scroggins, Brandon Osborn, Rundall Mosely.  My instructors, Mr.
Richard Harmon from my ATA school, and my current instructor Mr. Richard
Osborn Sr.  And of course my parents.

Are there any accomplishments in Martial Arts or in your life you would like to
mention?
After 6 years and 3 different schools, I fainally have gotten my black belt tied
around my waist.  I won 1st in fighting for my division for the 2008 season.  I
was inducted in to the MMASC Hall of Fame in 2009.  I have been on the
Principals Honor Roll at the school for the last three years!

Besides Martial Arts training, what
are your other hobbies or interests?
Reading, learning new things at school,
working with my conservation club.
I also sing with a choir from school.

What motivated you to start taking
Martial Arts?
To learn how to defend myself and for the exercise.

How has the Martial Arts changed your life?
It helped me increase my activity level and make new and interesting friends.  
And it gives me more self-confidence in new situations.

How long have you been involved
in the Martial Arts?
3 years and 2 schools.

What is your favorite part of the Martial Arts?
Doing forms and my fan routine.

What people in your life have influenced you the most?
My parents and my teachers.  My brother Austin and of course Mr. Osborn.  I
like working with Brandon Osborn on a new fan routine.

Are you excited to have your bio featured on the competitor page on
mmasc.net?  Yep.

Are there any accomplishments in Martial Arts or in your life you would like to
mention?
I earned first place trophy in weapons.  I placed 5th in forms and 4th in
weapons in my division for the 2008 season.  I am an honor roll student and
have received student of the week several times.  I am also on the Comets
Hall of Fame at School.  I attend WINGS and am currently studying robotics.

Besides Martial Arts training, what
are your other hobbies or interests?
I do crafts such as cross stitching and
plastic canvas.  I also have a husband,
three children and a dog that keep me
very busy!

What motivated you to start taking
Martial Arts?
I have always wanted to study Martial Arts.  
The thrill of learning new skills and ways to
protect myself is very appealing.

How has the Martial Arts changed your life?
I used to be very shy and timid around other people.  Now I am more
outgoing.

How long have you been involved
in the Martial Arts?
About two years.

What is your favorite part of the Martial Arts?
I love to spar.  It's a great adrenaline rush.

What people in your life have influenced you the most?
I would have to say my husband Eric, and my Sensei Mr. Mann.

mmasc.net?  Yes, this is a big honor to have.

Are there any accomplishments in Martial Arts or in your life you would like to
mention?
2008 MMASC National points race.  2nd place in beginner forms, and 3rd
place in beginner sparring.  Also being married to a wonderful man, and
being the proud mother of Amber, Kate & Britnie!

Besides Martial Arts training, what
are your other hobbies or interests?
Horses & horseback riding.  Watching
movies, listening to music, and just
being with friends.

What motivated you to start taking
Martial Arts?
I trained as a youth and just loved it...
I always knew as an adult I would train
again.  After my youngest son got involved
with Top Mount Karate, my whole family joined!

How has the Martial Arts changed your life?
I am more capable of defending myself.  I have met many new friends
through the dojo, and at tournaments!

How long have you been involved
in the Martial Arts?
About a year.

What is your favorite part of the Martial Arts?
I love to learn and perform kata!

What people in your life have influenced you the most?
My husband and kids have been my biggest influences.

mmasc.net?  Yes, I feel very honored.

Are there any accomplishments in Martial Arts or in your life you would like to
mention?
I am very excited about winning Grand Champ.  I got to do that two
tournaments in a row!  I love that my husband and I are in the same kata
division, and that we have a competition to see who can win first at the
tournaments.  It makes it fun.
