Besides Martial Arts training, what are your other hobbies or interests?
I like to work out and spend time with my kids and family.
What motivated you to start taking Martial Arts?
My parents were the ones that got me motivated and got me to compete.
When I was a kid, I loved watching Martial Arts on TV. Like Ernie Reyes Jr
and Sr, and Chuck Norris.
How has the Martial Arts changed your life?
It has made me more confident in my work and in everything I do. I like the
family atmosphere.
How long have you been involved in the Martial Arts?
Well, I have been in two different schools. I took Tracy's Kenpo for about a
year and a half, I also took MTA Tae Kwondo here in Springfield for 2 years.
What is your favorite part of the Martial Arts?
COMPETITION! I believe we have the best circuit in the state!
What people in your life have influenced you the most?
My parents, they're the ones who got me involved. And also Mr. Osborn,
Brandon Osborn, and Rundall Mosley.

mmasc.net? Absolutely, it's an honor.
Are there any accomplishments in Martial Arts or in your life you would like to
mention?
Winning Grand Champion three consecutive times in a row. Also being able
to get back into Martial Arts after having a surgery on my leg 2 years ago.

My goal was to learn Martial Arts to become a Black Belt. To meet different

or interests?
Gunnar is a big wrestling fan.
He currently owns 25 wrestling
action figures. Gunnar is also a
big Dallas Cowboys fan! He loves
football. He can name every NFL
team and their mascot.
What motivated you to start taking
Martial Arts?
My Uncle Matt, Aunt Joan and cousin
Jesse love Taekwondo and encouraged me to try it. They bought me my
uniform and sparring shoes.
How has the Martial Arts changed your life?
I get stronger and stronger every day!
Gunnar's mom says he is very grown up for a 6 year old. She says that he
takes care of himself & thinks of others first.
How long have you been involved in the Martial Arts?
Since October 2007, at barely 5 years old!
What is your favorite part of the Martial Arts?
Sparring.
What people in your life have influenced you the most?
Mom & Dad, Uncle Matt and Mr. Irby... and Richard Osborn Sr., Brandon
Osborn, John Hilburn, and Nathaniel Irby - my best TKD friend.

Are there any accomplishments in Martial Arts or in your life you would like to
mention?
Gunnar was chosen by the Springfield Public Schools to be a teachers aide
to kids with disabilities that were preparing for Kindergarten. Gunnar did this
as a pre-kindergartener. Now he is in kindergarten.
He also took 1st place forms in 6 and under beginner in MMASC for 2007!
