Besides Martial Arts training, what are your other hobbies or interests?
I'm very interested in drawing and writing. I've been considering majoring in
either Fine Arts or Graphic Arts when I start college. I love playing World of
Warcraft and Civilization. I also just recently got an X-Box360 and have had
great fun playing Fable II.
What motivated you to start taking Martial Arts?
All it took was one little flyer! We had just moved back to Oklahoma from
Colorado and not long after we moved back, I spotted a flyer about it on the
gas station window. After telling my dad about it, I started a few days after.
How has the Martial Arts changed your life?
It's allowed me to gain a sense of pride and accomplishment, as well as given
me a strength I never knew I had. It's given me fame at my school (although
a lot of it is actually jokes like "dont break my ribs!"), and self confidence.
How long have you been involved in the Martial Arts?
Six years, though I actually started out in a different style that had been in
Mannford before becoming part of Mr. Soliday's school in Sapulpa.
What is your favorite part of the Martial Arts?
I would say self defense. I focus intently on the forms and katas, and while
I've participated heavily in tournaments for fighting, my favorite has always
been what is at the core of this style of karate, as well as other styles: Self
defense!
What people in your life have influenced you the most?
My parents and my Sensei - Mr. Soliday.
Are you excited to have your bio featured on the competitor page on
mmasc.net? Yes!! I've really enjoyed competing in the MMASC, and being

I earned my 2nd Degree Black Belt a few months back and in July, I had
opened my own school. My dad helps me with the financial and business
part of it, and all my family (also in karate) helps me with the teaching since
there are so many students!
